Is Puffcore Pro a complete food or complementary food?
Puffcore Pro is formulated as an everyday dry cat food, with animal-based protein, taurine, vitamins, minerals and other functional ingredients.
Is it suitable for kittens and senior cats?
Puffcore Pro is suitable for cats of all life stages, including kittens, adults and senior cats.
Feeding requirements vary considerably by age and life stage. Kittens may require more food to support growth, while senior cats may have individual dietary needs. If your cat has a health condition or requires a specialised diet, consult your veterinarian before changing foods.
Is Puffcore grain-free?
Yes. Puffcore Pro is made without traditional cereal grains. The recipe uses alternative carbohydrate sources such as tapioca flour, potato starch and sweet potato starch.
Grain-free does not automatically mean carbohydrate-free or suitable for every food sensitivity, so we recommend checking the complete ingredient list before purchasing.
Does it contain chicken?
Yes. Puffcore Pro contains chicken ingredients.
The Quail & Goat Milk recipe includes fresh chicken, chicken breast, chicken fat and chicken liver. Cat parents managing a known chicken allergy or sensitivity should not feed this recipe without first speaking to their veterinarian.
Is goat milk safe for cats?
The Quail & Goat Milk recipe contains 6% goat milk powder as part of its overall formulation. It does not contain liquid cow’s milk.
Some cats can have difficulty digesting lactose or may be sensitive to dairy ingredients. Introduce the food gradually and monitor your cat’s response. Stop feeding and consult your veterinarian if you notice vomiting, diarrhoea or another adverse reaction.
Cats with a known dairy sensitivity or existing medical condition should be assessed by their veterinarian before trying the recipe.
How should I transition my cat?
Introduce Puffcore Pro gradually over approximately 7–10 days:
- Days 1–3: 25% Puffcore Pro and 75% current food
- Days 4–6: 50% Puffcore Pro and 50% current food
- Days 7–9: 75% Puffcore Pro and 25% current food
- Day 10 onward: 100% Puffcore Pro
Some cats may need a slower transition, particularly if they have a sensitive stomach or are cautious around new foods. Always provide fresh, clean drinking water.
How much should I feed?
The following daily amounts are general guidelines:
- Kittens: approximately 80–100g per day
- Adult cats: approximately 50–70g per day
- Senior cats: approximately 40–60g per day
Your cat’s ideal serving will depend on their age, weight, activity level, body condition and whether Puffcore Pro is fed alone or alongside wet food and treats. Monitor your cat’s condition and adjust the serving as required.
How long does one bag last?
A 1.5kg bag may last approximately:
- 15–19 days for a kitten
- 21–30 days for an average adult cat
- 25–38 days for a senior cat
These are estimates only. The actual duration will depend on your cat’s serving size and whether Puffcore Pro is fed as their main food, mixed with wet food or used as a topper.
