Fusion 40 Catamaran Share Owners Program Now Available
If you are looking through this website there is a very good chance that you have thought or are thinking about owning your very own Catamaran. The reasons you don’t currently have one could be varied and many, but for most it comes down to time and of course, the big one, cost.
The Fusion Share Owners Program allows you to put aside those reasons why you have always said you can’t own one of these beautiful boats;
You can afford the cost because you are not paying for the whole boat, its maintenance or mooring costs, only a share of your choosing.
You can stop feeling that you won’t have the time to use the boat, as your share purchase choice will suit your availability – no waste of time, (plus no weed gathering on the bottom of your boat) and no waste of money.
You can enjoy the experience of stress-free boating without the hassles of boat management (general maintenance, cleaning, and paperwork) as there is a Share Manager who does it for you.
You can be sure that you are buying absolute value for money as you will have purchased a recognised tradeable asset that historically has shown will retain its price.
You won’t be on your own - share boat ownership is as much about the social side of sailing as it is about the cost savings. It’s a chance to meet people that have a common interest and share that unforgettable thrill of sailing on the open sea. With the Fusion 40 you have enough space for two families to comfortably cruise together, plenty of room for over-nighting, long weekends or an entire annual holiday.
How Does it Work?
- Fusion Catamarans W.A (the Share Manager) will facilitate the formation of the share group, providing a share handbook, a roster and a maintenance program.
- There are two share options - a 1/5th share or a 1/10th share. Each share owner has one week access (Wed to Tues) to the boat every 5 weeks (1/5th share) or every 10 weeks (1/10th share).
- This rotation equates to a substantial 70 days (1/5th share) or 35 days (1/10th share) of real time sailing. Major holidays are rotated yearly and your share days or weeks can of course be swapped with other share owners.
- In return for an annual fee, Fusion Catatamarans W.A. will take care of boat maintenance, moorings management, insurance and anything else to ensure that the share program runs smoothly.
- Home base for the first Fusion Share Boat will be Perth, Western Australia however it will be entirely possible to move the boat to other locations for your share time - simply liaise with the Share Manager. The program will also be available for East Coast Share Owners
- It will be possible to sell all or part of a share holding, existing owners however get a first right of refusal.
The Boat
As soon as you take your first step aboard the Fusion 40, you will appreciate the wide landing platform, the walk through transom, the large door saloon access, full headroom throughout, opening windows, hatches and portlights for perfect ventilation. Other great features include the full Queen sized berths, with plenty of head room for sitting up and large walk in robe for the master cabin and a generous ensuite space in the guest cabin. The design ensures that while you enjoy performance sailing, your family feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
The Fusion 40 Share Boat is professionally assembled and fitted out by our West Australian assembler, The Cat Factory. The boat is fully kitted for coastal cruising with standard features including:

Share Boat Annual Fees
An annual maintenance program will ensure that the boat is kept in pristine condition but you pay only a share of the costs! Two weeks of the year are scheduled to conduct slipping, anti fouling and other general maintenance and servicing. Any extra ordinary maintenance/repairs required will be taken out of the share rotation and, depending on circumstances, ‘time out’ will be shared fairly amongst the owners.

- Detailing
- Insurance
- Maintenance Fund
- Slipping & Antifoul
- Engine Servicing
- Anchor Winch & Toilet Service
- Administration
